Cruising Naked:
Clothing keeps us warm in the cold and protects us from prolonged sun exposure in the heat and fat flying from the BBQ. We also like to preserve our modesty when around the public. It might even be illegal to wander naked around our communities.
But those things only apply sometimes when remote cruising the far northern tropics.
